Dominique Giroud and his father François are now one of the leading names in Valais winegrowing. Giroud Vins offers a choice of around fifteen different wines, both reds and whites, including the grand cru "Constellation", a blend of five red grape varieties aged in barrels, sold at CHF 75 a bottle. In 2008, Giroud Vins inaugurated its new winery in Sion, increasing production from one and a half hectares to around fifty hectares.
I'm facing a media storm. I've been wrongly accused of tampering with my wines to make money. Journalists have overdramatised and criticised without any nuance. In so doing, they have tarnished and perhaps ruined forever my reputation as an oenologist. Faced with these accusations, I have decided to publish my version of events on this website.
