Today's edition of Le Nouvelliste devotes a full page to the collapse of Provins. Ahead of the article, the newspaper consulted Dominique Giroud to find out whether he would be interested in taking over, or at least investing in, the cooperative once it has been transformed into a public limited company. Dominique Giroud did not close the door on such a possibility, specifying that, if necessary, he would "consider any opportunity that is favourable to his activities and/or his region". When consulted, Dominique Giroud took a position. For reasons that remain unclear, his position was not reproduced in the newspaper, but the exchange between the journalist and his spokesman is reproduced here.

Dominique Giroud

I'm facing a media storm. I've been wrongly accused of tampering with my wines to make money. Journalists have overdramatised and criticised without any nuance. In so doing, they have tarnished and perhaps ruined forever my reputation as an oenologist. Faced with these accusations, I have decided to publish my version of events on this website.

Readers will be the judge.
