"The State of Valais has got almost everything right" (ATS). "A report spares the State of Valais" (24 Heures). "Good note to the State of Valais" (La Liberté). Its conclusion in extenso: "With the Cogest report, the Giroud affair has lost its 'scandalous potential'. Perhaps the mountain has only given birth to a mouse. Perhaps the extraordinary public prosecutor Dick Marty will find other things and not just the answers to the questions that are still open - but which are unimportant. If not, then at the latest we will have to come to the conclusion that all this noise has come to nothing." Three media outlets stand out for their different interpretations of the Cogest report. Guess which three? La RTSIn spite of the facts, 19:30 devotes 80% of its programme to highlighting the "grey areas" that would prove Maurice Tornay's guilt. Le NouvellisteHe mentions a "grey area" and feels obliged to add a "but" to his title ("The State is not to blame but..."). However, the height of bad faith is reached by Le Matinby the hilarious Eric Felley. In a laugh-out-loud editorial, he states that if the members of the Cogest didn't find anything, it's because they didn't investigate in the right place.
